Tee off for a purpose

On Friday, 21 August, golfers, businesses and supporters came together for the 6th annual Talitha Cumi Golf Day at Bloemfontein Golf Club - a day filled with golf, networking, fun and, most importantly, purpose.

The event was officially sold out, with 144 players showing up on the day to support Talitha Cumi, a Place of Safety operated by CRC Cares in Partnership with Childline Free State for vulnerable, abandoned and abused children. Since opening in 2008, Talitha Cumi has cared for more than 1,300 vulnerable children, providing safety, practical care, love and an opportunity for a new beginning.

While the day was centred around a love for golf, the real purpose was much bigger than the game. The Golf Day brought together businesses, golfers and the community around a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

The day was filled with great moments on the course, followed by a prize-giving celebration and a fun auction, bringing everyone together to end the event on a high note.
